Foreigners often think that Japanese only drink green tea (and sometimes sake). And according to 2018 data from the All-Japan Coffee Association, a Japanese person drinks approx. 10.62 cups of coffee a week!

Men aged 40-59 drink the most coffee - about 13 cups of coffee per week. Although studies show that once women enter the workplace, no longer solely involved in housework or university studies, they often catch up with men. Stress levels and workloads increase. For example, girls between the ages of 18 and 24 immediately start drinking twice as much coffee - 8.5 cups a week, rather than the 4.61 cups they used to.
