Last year, the large Venus Fort mall on Odaiba was closed for renovation into Japan's first immersive theme park, scheduled to open March 1, 2024.
Claiming to be the world's first immersive theme park, Immersive Fort Tokyo was inspired by London's interactive theater performances that began in the 2000s. Immersive Fort Tokyo will feature a European-style interior with 12 rides as well as stores and restaurants within 30,000 square meters.
