Ever since Japan eased entry restrictions due to COVID-19, go-karts have become a common sight on the roads of Tokyo. Driving one has become a popular item on the list of foreign tourists wanting to try this form of entertainment in the country, which has caused a significant demand for these fast-paced four-wheeled vehicles. However, along with the increase in popularity has come an increase in complaints and inquiries to the Metropolitan Police Department, with more than 100 reports of traffic violations and interference due to noise in the last year alone.
