Our tourists usually answer this question: it is Japanese rice vodka, which is drunk heated. Many people speak rather unflatteringly about the taste of this traditional Japanese alcoholic drink.

It's really not that simple.....

To begin with, it's not vodka. And not all varieties of sake are recommended by experts to be drunk heated.

To understand these issues in detail, the Sakura Tours team sought the help of a well-known Russian sommelier, who was trained in this rare craft in London and has a solid practice in the Land of the Rising Sun. He gave us a fascinating tour of the store located in the center of Tokyo in the Ginza district, showing us a wide range from affordable sake to drinks with really collectible prices. During the tasting session he organized, we learned a lot of interesting things about each type of sake, its history and peculiarities.

We plan to invite our hikers to this store in the future. I am sure that this trip will enrich you with new knowledge and tastes. After all, the assortment presented there covers a variety of sakes with unique stories.

The sommelier's in-depth knowledge, stories and expert advice, as well as tastings of selected sake varieties, make this visit a truea culinary adventure.
