The new commercial facility "Tokyo Harajuku Harakado Plaza" will open on April 17, 2024. It is located at the Shinjukyumae intersection where Omotesando and Meiji-dori intersect. At the same time, the neighboring Omotesando Harajuku Tokyo Plaza will be renamed Omotesando Harajuku "Omokado" Tokyo Plaza."

In the 1960s, Harajuku Central Apartments stood at the Shinjukyumae intersection. It was a place where the leading creative personalities of the time converged to create cultural works.

Tokyo Harajuku Harakado Plaza is designed to continue and develop the cultural heritage of Harajuku Central Apartments by becoming a new commercial facility.

Located at the southwest corner of the intersection of Omotesando and Meiji-dori, next to Lafore Harajuku and opposite the Omotesando Harajuku Tokyo Plaza, it aims to become a new point of attraction in the Harajuku-Omotesando area, acting as a cultural exchange center.

Harajuku "Harakado" will bring together 75 stores in Tokyo's Harajuku Plaza, from the underground floor to the seventh floor rooftop terrace. With the aim of creating and spreading new culture, "Harakado-machi naikai," a creative community made up of creative individuals and companies gathered in and managing the facility, will be established.
