A museum featuring the work of Japanese digital art collective teamLab opened Friday at the new Azabudai Hills complex in Tokyo. Mori Building's digital art museum named TeamLab Borderless, located in the newly opened Azabudai Hills in Japan, includes about 50 works making full use of projectors and various lighting effects, creating a "borderless artwork world."
At a recent preview of the new works, Takashi Kudo, director of public relations at teamLab, said that teamLab sought to make this new space even more borderless and interactive, where visitors become part of the exhibition and their presence affects the artworks. Kudo emphasized the lack of boundaries between the works and visitors, describing the museum as a space where people can move freely and observe the interaction of different artworks.
