Have you had an unforgettable time in Tokyo and now you want a change of scenery? We are pleased to offer you a two-day excursion to unique, non-tourist sites: Cat Island and Fox Village.
The trip is by shinkansen and guided car. Detailed schedule is given in the program for each day. Overnight stay is possible at one of the hotels in the Kamasaki area, which is famous for its hot springs.
Day 1: Dzao Fox Village Tour

7:15 Meet your guide at the hotel lobby in Tokyo.
Transfer to Tokyo railway station.
7:44 - 9:51 Transfer with a guide by high-speed train (shinkansen) to Shiroishi Zao station.
10:00 - 11:00 Transfer by car to Lis Dzao Village (15 km, 20-25 min).
11:00 - 13:00 Attendance Lis Dzao Villages.
- Fox Village is a reserve where more than a hundred foxes of six different species live on a vast territory. Despite the fact that foxes are wild animals, they are not afraid of people, as tourists often come here.
- Visitors are free to roam the park, pet and feed the animalswith certain precautions. All animals are subject to strict veterinary supervision.
- The zoo grounds also have their own small Japanese goddess shrine Inariwho is the patron saint of fetuses and foxes.
Option! If you wish, you can visit a village along the way Yajiro (10 km, 15 min. from Lis Dzao Village) and visit a workshop for making Japanese wooden dolls kokeshiwhere you can make your own doll.
13:00 - 13:30 Transfer to the hot springs area Kamasaki.
13:30 - 15:00 lunch in one of the local restaurants (to be paid by tourists on site).
15:30 - check-in to a Japanese ryokan hotel.
Dinner at the ryokan. Rest at the hot springs.
Day 2. Tashirojima Cat Island Excursion

Breakfast at the ryokan, check-out from the ryokan.
6:30 Meet your guide in the hotel lobby.
6:30 - 8:30 Moving to port Ishinomaki (105 km, 1.5-2 h).
9:00 - 9:46 Transfer by guided ferry to Tashirojima Island (Nitoda Port).
10:00 - 14:00 A hike on Cat Island. Tashirojima.
- Tashirojima - is a small island off the coast of Miyagi Prefecture. With only 70 people living here and more than 100 cats, the island has become known as "Cat Island". It's not hard to find a member of the feline family here - cats come out of their hiding places as soon as they smell a human, hoping to get food. Dogs, of course, are forbidden on the island!
- In the center of the island, there is a small cat sanctuary.
14:00 - 15:00 Lunch at a local restaurant (to be paid by tourists on site).
15:33 - 16:46 Return transfer by ferry to the port of Ishinomaki.
17:00 - 18:30 Transfer to Sendai railway station (57 km, 1-1.5 h).
18:57 - 20:32 Transfer with your guide by shinkansen to Tokyo station.
Transfer to the hotel in Tokyo, end of the tour.
